Tommy McDonald joined MarshBerry in 2008 as a Financial Analyst primarily responsible for the statistical compilation and interpretation of financial information for clients. He also played a major role in preparing valuation reports, perpetuation plans, compensation plans, sales management engagements, and other general consulting projects.
More recently, Tommy served as the Product Manager for the firm’s proprietary sales management technology, The MarshBerry Sales Portal. His responsibilities included sales, implementation, and product development of the sales management software as well as consulting services built around differentiation, service plan design, and stewardship reporting.
In 2012, he was promoted to Vice President and assumed responsibility for the company’s peer-to-peer exchange networks. His primary responsibilities are to oversee the delivery of partner benefits and to provide guidance and direction to help network partners reach their goals.
Tommy has presented for educational seminars, sales management training, insurance industry meetings, and executive leadership forums. He is also a frequent contributor to insurance-related articles. He currently sits on the Board of the Ohio chapter of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.
Prior to joining MarshBerry, he held a position with a national home building company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from John Carroll University.

Prior to that, he spent 5 years working in international development and lived in New York, Frankfurt, Tirana and New Delhi.
